Associate of Arts in Psychology

If you are a busy working adult with a dream to further your career and education, earning your Associate of Arts in Psychology is the first step toward gaining the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your professional goals.

Liberty University’s® Associate of Arts in Psychology program provides you with a foundational background for understanding relevant facts and concepts of human behavior, including the sociocultural context in which psychology emerged. You will develop familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative methods of research, as well as methods for presenting your research. Additionally, you will understand the importance of utilizing ethical principles of psychologists through psychological theory, practice, and research. You will learn to use critical thinking in understanding the similarities and differences between yourself and others, and will grasp the roles that gender, race, ethnicity, culture, and class play in affecting all human perspectives and experiences.

The Associate of Arts in Psychology degree serves as an excellent stepping stone toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which is also offered online through Liberty University Online.
