For Prospective Students

We realize that applying for admission is a big step. Maybe you are considering Liberty University among several other colleges or universities. It is important that you make the best decision regarding where to pursue your degree, which is why we provide a free transfer consultation of your transcripts, prior to applying. Through this unofficial evaluation, we will give you a general idea of what to expect regarding the official evaluation of your transfer credits. We will also determine how many courses you may still need in order to finish your chosen degree program. Since this consultation is unofficial, you are not required to send official transcripts.

How does it work?

Step 1 - Are you a Transfer Student?

• No. Stop! The Unofficial Transfer Consultation (UTC) is not for you.
• Yes. The UTC is for you! Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 - Have you applied to Liberty University Online?

• Yes. Stop! The UTC is not for you. Please call 1-800-424-9595 to speak with the Admissions Department.
• No. The UTC is for you! Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3 - Do you want to apply to Liberty University Online?

• Yes, I would like to apply.
  • Stop! The UTC is not for you. You will receive an Official Transfer Evaluation when you submit your Official Transcripts. Please call 1-800-424-9595 to speak with an Admissions Counselor.
• No, I would like to see how my credits will transfer before I decide to apply.
  • The UTC is for you! Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4 - Are you interested in an Undergraduate program?

• No. Stop! The UTC is not for you. Please call 1-800-424-9596 to speak with an Admissions Counselor about transferring to our Graduate/Seminary programs, or you can visit our Transfer Policies page for your specific degree program.
• Yes. The UTC is for you! Proceed to Step 5.

Step 5 - How do you submit this request?

• Fill out the Unofficial Transfer Consultation request.
• Send the request and legible copies of your transcripts/certificates by email (luotransfer@liberty.edu) or fax (434-455-1286).

Step 6 - When will you receive the results?

• Results will be emailed to you within 2 weeks.
• We save your results and the copies of documents to send so that they are in our system when you apply.
