Undergraduate Admission Requirements
All students must complete the following:
1. Apply online or download application and submit via mail.
2. $50.00 Deferred application fee (Assessed during financial check in)
3. Fax / scan all unofficial college transcripts. *Please Note* Unofficial transcripts can be used for acceptance purposes!
4. Mail official college transcripts (sealed, unopened copy).
5. All official transcripts must be received by the end of the first term. If not, students will be unable to continue to register for classes.
Some applicants will need to send in additional documentation:
If you have 0-11 hours of college experience, you must fax / scan unofficial High school transcripts or unofficial GED.
If you have Military only transfer credits (completed basic training and enlistment), you must request an official Military transcript. Please go to the Military Transfer Credit webpage to request your military transcript. To view military-specific undergraduate admission requirements, please go to the main military page, and select your branch of service for detailed instructions.
If you have 12+ hours of college experience, you do not need to submit anything in addition to the checklist above, unless you do not have a 2.0 cumulative GPA on college transcripts. In this situation, you will be required to fax/scan unofficial HS transcripts or an unofficial GED.
If you are a RN to B.S.N. degree applicant
In addition to general criteria for admission, you must provide:
- RN licensure in state of residence (copy of licensure document)
- Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program leading to an associate degree or hospital diploma
If you are a B.S. in Aeronautics degree applicant
In addition to general criteria for admission, you must provide:
- FAA commercial pilot certificate or designated military pilot (copy of license or certificate)
If you are an International applicant
- TOEFL for international, non-English speaking candidates (score of 500 paper-based test, 173 computer-based test or 60 internet-based test)
- Information regarding the transcript evaluation process for international students can be found by visiting NACES.
Additional Information
- Students must have above a 2.0 cumulative combined GPA for all accredited colleges attended or for high school. If you do not meet this GPA standard please speak with a new enrollment specialist about your situation.
- If information that would normally be needed for an admissions decision is not immediately available, Liberty holds the right to waive an admissions requirement that would normally be imposed. Please speak with your new enrollment specialist for more details.

If you are unable to send in an admissions requirement due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina, please complete the statement of enrollment, submit with your application, and we will consider your appeal.
Unofficial college transcript policy
An unofficial copy of the college transcript can either be faxed from the institution, printed from the school’s official site, or an opened copy that you may have in your possession.
Before sending unofficial college transcripts, please make sure they include the following:
- School’s name or logo printed on the document
- Cumulative GPA
- List of completed courses and earned credit

Degree and date conferred (if applicable)
Unofficial high school transcript or GED policy
An acceptable unofficial high school transcript or unofficial GED can be one of the following:
- Copy of the original transcript
- Print out from the school website Fax of transcript directly from your school or GED center
- Documents will not be accepted without a graduation date listed unless student is applying for the Edge. Unofficial / Official High School Transcript needs to show classes and grades completed / Diplomas are not acceptable
- Must list a physical address and graduation date. (High School Transcripts faxed directly from the high school to LU is considered official).
Official college transcript policy
An acceptable official college transcript is one that has been issued directly from the institution, and is in a sealed envelope with a signature across the back. If you have one in your possession, it must still be in its original sealed envelope with a signature across the back.
Official college transcripts are not required initially for acceptance if unofficial transcripts are provided. However, all official transcripts must be received by the completion of the student’s first term in order for the student to be eligible for registration in the following term.
